TWISTED is throwing its anchor into the sea just in time for the summer months and for all the returning students.
We thought what better way to start the weekly summer parties with yet another one of our epic themes and this time we are getting seasick and partying over the deep blue nothing with some very special guests and a foam machine!!

WE ARE YOUR FRIENDS, the South-West of Englands biggest club night is coming down to drop some massive water bombs back 2 back with residents TWISTED DJs!!
Not only will TWISTED be stirring up a whirlpool of pure carnage on the Boat Party (Main room), but in the Dockyard (Courtayrd) BIG TROUBLE will be joined by a Foam machine and the Gangster House duo '2 BIT THUGS' who will be rolling out their wobbling basslines, rudeboy rap vocals and pounding percussive Dubstep beats!!



There will be big prizes for the best dressed and runners up, so all you have to do is dress up as something at sea or even in the sea like SAILORS, PIRATES, THE NAVY, MERMAIDS, PIN-UPS, CASTAWAYS, BEACHWEAR, BOATS, CRABS, OCTOPUSES, SHARKS, WHALES, FISH (Nemo), TURTLES, PENGUINS, JELLYFISH, SEAWEED (Old Gregg), PALM TREES, COCONUTS, A BARREL or YOU COULD ALWAYS IMPRESS US WITH SOME HOME-MADE SEA MONSTER!!!

Dan Bodan Mix

Heres a brand new mix from Dan Bodan, one part of the duo Synthdromes. He will be supporting Heavyfeet and 2 Bit Thugs on our 666 River Festival Special in late June! Check it out!

My name is Daniel Boaden aka “Dan BoDan” and I’m one half of the DJing duo “Synthdromes”, (www.myspace.com/synthdromes) hailing from Sheffield.

Rarely playing without my counterpart Ed aka “Inside Out Boy”, it’s always a treat to come home to Maidstone and step up to the decks alone to unleash some fidgety house, wonky bassline, wobbly electro and downright dirty synths. As a duo, I’ve been playing with Ed since we met at university at the beginning of last year and we have done our fair share of cold warm up sets in tiny dancehalls to try and break our way into the electronic scene. However, this seems to have paid off over the last few months gaining sets supporting some of the biggest names in the industry such as Erol Alkan, Chase and Status, Audio Bullys, Pendulum, Andy George, Foamo and Raffertie. In addition to frequently headlining independent nights in Sheffield and Leeds and recently coming runners up in Union’s nationwide DJ competition at Fabric.

I enjoy all forms of alternative dance music and with new artists pushing the boundaries of their genre; it gives great potential for overlap. I try to use and replicate this in my sets by incorporating a variety of genres and beats to keep the feet moving. It is for these reasons that I take great pleasure from witnessing the alternative electronic scene growing in Maidstone with huge names, who I would have only expected to see once I had gone to university, gracing the doors of 666. Many of whom are frequent entrants to my mixes and speakers.

Anyway, hopefully I’ll see you all this summer. Here’s my latest mix:

Hey all,

Heres a little post on upcoming dub n dnb dj Dave Bradley, if you get a chance grab his mix and take a listen! He has played a few of our 666 nights and also won our DJ Comp!!

My name is Dave Bradley aka "My Mate Dave," I am from Maidstone, Kent and I have been djing for about 3/4 years now. I grew up listening to a lot of rock, blues, funk and jazz and took heavy influence from the greats of Jimi Hendrix, Pink Floyd and John Coltrane. I then moved onto Oldskool and funky hip hop as well as trip hop and downtempo music. This is where I learnt about the importance of a DJ and the art of turntablism from the likes of J5, DJ Shadow and the DMC scene.


I was purely a hip hop dj for about a year or so until I started playing a bit of drum & bass, electro house and then later came the DUBSTEP! After a few months of exploring dubstep I was hooked for life. Id never heard a genre before with such wide boundaries and influences from all my other music interests. The more I play dubstep the more I want dubstep, whether it’s deep, clubby, new ravey, electro, techy or glitchy. And the more I hear dubstep the more it pushes my Drum & bass interest, with artists such as Nero and Chase & Status crossing over between the two. You can catch me playing dubstep, drum & bass and hip hop around Maidstone venues such as The Source Bar, The Loft and UCA.
